Treat the skin
  • Apply serum after prepping your skin. Serums often are very lightweight formulas that deliver potent ingredients deep into the skin to give them a boost. Serums will, for example, increases skin firmness, correct discoloration, smooth out fine lines etc. When choosing a serum go for a light weight formula with active ingredients as these are readily absorbed into the skin without leaving an occlusive layer.

  • Use a hydrating moisturiser to keep your skin from dehydrating and to retain moisture throughout the day. Don’t get confused between hydration which equals ‘water’ and moisturiser which equals ‘oil’ go for the moisturiser that makes up for what you are lacking. A day cream in the morning and a night cream in the evening. Skincare at night is important and this is when your skin repairs and regenerates itself – “beauty sleep” is not a myth.
  • Apply a face mask, at least once a week, best done in the evenings when you have a little more time to relax. Also with a wide variety to choose from, you could even mix and match different masks for different issues on the same face eg. eye mask, clay based mask on an oily T-Zone, and a hydrating mask for the remainder of the skin. And if you feel, you don’t have time to sit around with a mask, you now get leave on masks so you can sleep with. Don’t give yourself any more excuses.
