Well, for those of us who are not so great at "saving" our clothing, this should make you a solid believer that fashion goes round in circles!

We are back to the waist training era...

Thanks to celebrities like Kim & Khloe Kardashian, Blac Chyna, Jessica Alba etc.. the trend is back and women around the globe are chasing after the hour glass figure.

Where is all began:
Waist training aka tight-lacing aka corset training began as far back as the 16th century and was more of a fashion statement than waist slimming "tool".

How is works:
So there are apparently a number of different types of corsets, from steel boned, leather to latex, and each of them have a slightly different way of working. Authentic corsets would be the ones designed to reduce the waistline and flatten the stomach. I understand the best types, being the ones with spiral and flat steel bones.

For example, the corset would be worn daily, for an average of 8 - 10 hours, and one can expect to see results within 1 week.

How much they cost:
After doing a bit of research online, they seem to range from anywhere between R1000 - R2000 possibly more.

Have you/would you wear a corset? What was the experience like - comfortable or did you feel "squished" all day"? Did it work? Was the price worth it?
