I've always been curious about the fat freezing/cryolipolysis/coolsculpting treatment and was glad to have the opportunity to see and ask questions on how it works.
Firstly, it is a non invasive, FDA approved treatment in which fat cells are frozen. Once frozen, the fat cells then die, and finally are carried out of the body via the lymphatic system. With visible results after about 15 days, and optimal results evident after 3 months. It is a treatment one would generally do, to target stubborn areas e.g. abdominal area, hips, love handles, inner/outer thighs, knees etc..
The treatment can be performed after 6-8 weeks, and some people only require 1 session, and others 2-3 sessions - each person is different so a consultant beforehand is recommended. There is no downtime, the treatment is somewhat comfortable so you can read, sleep or catch up on some work during your hour long session. After the treatment one can experience bruising and sensitivity on the treatment site so wearing loose comfortable clothing is a must. Following a good diet and drinking a lot of water is law with any treatment for fat reduction or contouring.
I haven't personally done it. I think I would give it a try given the opportunity. Keen to know what your thoughts are on this?
