I must tell you, I have really enjoyed having short natural hair! After years of being relaxed and the maintenance that comes with it, this teeny-weeny-afro ("twa") stage has been bliss!

What I do on a daily? It's wash and go!!

I co-wash my hair every morning, "pat it" damp, apply my leave-in conditioner.... my absolute favourite of all time being Paul Mitchell "The Conditioner" - totally love this stuff! And I seal with my Mizani Rose H2O Conditioning Hairdress.

Now, keep your hat on!! I know Mizani has the "no go" mineral oil in it! Note, I said, I use it to seal - meaning, it does not touch my scalp and is only applied to the actual strands of my hair. So nothing is blocking no follicles... Whether it's a myth or scientifically proven, that is a debate for another day :)

As for Paul Mitchell "The Conditioner" if you have fine hair, this product is water based, smells good, and gives a light hold so your curls are frizz-free and popping all day!

Honestly, the combination of the two products is working great for me, keeps my hair soft and well hydrated throughout the day.. if you are sporting a "twa" and have fine textured hair, give it a try.

On an "oh dear" note... I was hoping to give you an update on the edges 'situation' after another month, but oh well... I'm making progress and the fuzz is coming through nicely... full update still to come.

  1. Hey lady. Looks like it's coming along nicely. Would love to try Paul Mitchell, recently heard that all their products are sulphate free...

  2. Hey Wisaal! Thanks, I'm happy with the long awaited progress. I haven't tried their shampoos and rinse out conditioners yet. Have also heard really good things about their tea tree range, so I'm thinking maybe that will be my next "try out" as I'm about to hit pan with my current ones. Will give an update if that happens..
