I'm sure a lot of you have been hearing about Glutathione lately? Glutathione in the form of a drip, supplements or patches! But how many people known what it actually is and what it does? I'm going to do my best to break it down here...

What is glutathione?
Known as the mother of antioxidants, is actually found naturally in all cells of the body, and depletes with age. It's what aids in detoxing the body, helps the body repair cells damaged by stress, pollution, infection etc.. It is also known to reduce inflammation, boost immunity and have anti aging properties as well.

Skin brightening effect...
Glutathione is being used a lot in the aesthetics industry for its skin brightening and for some skin lightening properties. How so? It has the ability to give the skin a brighter, more even complexion. The dose, frequency of treatment and chosen administration (IV, patch or supplements) determines the type of results you will get. Short version: glutathione detox the body of pigment causing free radicals. Yes there is a more scientific explanation which involves tyrosine etc.. but I doubt very much you are interested in hearing it?

Advantages?
*  works from head to toe, unlike applying a brightening cream to a specific area only
*  it is a far better alternative to the harmful skin lightening ingredients found in creams commonly found on the informal market
*  there have been no side effects noted, but always best to consult your doctor before taking anything
