Review: Timeless Truth Snow Algae Sheet Mask

Timeless Truth SA so kindly send me an couple of their masks, which I must confess took me a while to get round to trying out, and now that I have, had to come on the blog to share my experience with you.

The biocellulose mask was completely different to any that I have tried in that the essence had a richer more nourishing consistency than what I am used to. I have been on the road a lot for work and masking is one thing that remains constant in my skincare routine. My masks of choice tend to be the sheet/bio cellulose masks as they are very similar to applying a serum (which is the most potent/concentrated product in most skincare regimes).

My routine always starts with a good cleanser, exfoliator, mask for 20 mins and then depending on what I feel my skin needs,  I could add two or three serums and lock it all in with a moisturizer. I always prefer to do my masks in the evenings when I know I have time and all the ingredients have a good chance of penetrating deep into the skin overnight. In this case my skin literally absorbed almost everything that was on the mask. I massaged in what was left after removing, and pleased as my skin felt velvety and smooth with no sticky residue.

As with all things, I could never do a review justice without talking about the ingredients. It contains hyaluronic acid, which is one of the key ingredients to anti-aging - plumps up the Skin and gives it a smooth supple texture. It also has an ingredient new to me, glacial snow algae, found in the glaciers and compact snow in Switzerland. It’s said to help the skin retain its youthfulness, by boosting collagen and elastin production as well as helping to rebuild any damage.

My skin felt so soft and well hydrated after the mask. Would I recommend it? Most certainly! Have a look at Timeless Truth South Africa website to shop or for more info on what other masks they have as well.

Do you use sheet/biocellulose masks? What are some of your favorites?
